How to make frizzy curly hair soft and smooth?

I have natural curly and frizzy hair and i want to find a way to make it look neat but i don't want to make it hard or sticky (gel).. Is there any kind of hair product to use? please give me some tipsHow to make frizzy curly hair soft and smooth?
There are gels that aren't going to make your hair sticky, especially if you use a leave in cream or conditioner underneath. Also your conditioner and shampoo are really important to getting nice curls as well.

If you want to run out and pick something up locally, I recommend trying Biotera gel and cream (Sally's Beauty Supply); Suave Naturals/vo5 conditioners (really cheap); Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Condish (semi-cheap but super moisturizing, found at organics/specialty stores); red Cream of Nature shampoo (drugstore again); and L'oreal out of bed weightless texturizer (black tub, use under gel). These are all good things to try, and be sure to tinker around with amounts and how you use any products.

For specific products for your hair type you might also want to explore the forums at:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products, but the most popular ones are usually only available online.

Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:

*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find ratings by region here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Never use a brush on dry hair, only untangle when the hair is wet.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or t-shirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch (or brush!) your hair while it鈥檚 drying.

*Once dry scrunch out any crunchy texture.

Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. Bumble %26amp; Bumble and Fekkai are the best products out there for hair. They are salon products so of course they have a salon price, but they're totally worth the money because the results are phenomenal and do exactly what they say they will.

I love this stuff...i would always straighten my hair till discovered this...

Fructis: Style Soft Curl Cream. But 1st get a good haircut that is right for curly hair, that makes a difference. This stuff doesn't weigh down your hair or make it stiff and sticky.

not only that its usually less than 3 bucks! hope it helps!!!!
I use Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner. I like to leave the conditioner on my hair comb it thru and let it air dry. Keeps my hair soft and my curls aren't frizzy.
