I am african american and recently I decided to stop chemically relaxing my hair. Therefore I went to a salon and had all the chemically treated hair removed. It's been 3-4 months since this and my hair has been growing beautifully but for some reason it's flat at the top and at the sides it kind of poofs out like this triangle/pyramid. Is this a sign that I need to go and get my hair cut or does this typically happen to curly hair. ThanksWhat causes curly hair to grow in that horrific triangle shape?
get layers. mine used to do that, but i got layers and it helped a bunch!!! now it curls at the roots, instead of 2-3 inches down from the roots.
