I have naturally curly hair. But sometimes it just goes flat, especially after i wash it. I like my hair curly. What can i do to keep it curly. I always let it dry naturally and it will go more curly sometimes, or most of the time flat. Will curl shampoos and stuff like that help me after i wash it? Any tips? How can i enhace my curly hair?
Buy products are are specially designed for curly hairHow can i enhace my curly hair?
After a shower i put garnier mouse in my hair then tye my hair up in a bun and sleep on it, then let it go in the morning and spray with hairspray. Be sure you have bout 15 hours to leave ur hair up because it takes longer to dry in a bun: ) hope i helped
There's a curling shampoo they use at the salon. You might have to buy it there. I don't know about over the counter ones. But you should go ahead and put curlers in your hair with product since it's not staying naturally.
Buy some mousse and after the shower spread it evenly through out your hair. I will enhance your curls and make them look defined.
Use mousse and scrunch your hair (after you wash it)
try a mousse and a lighter conditioner
works for me :D

How can I make my curly hair look like Alice Cullens from Twilight?
Okay On friday I'm going to a twilight party and I wanted to go as Alice Cullen. I've got the make-up down I just need help with the hair. My hair is short and curly hers is short and straight. So any tips I can use?How can I make my curly hair look like Alice Cullens from Twilight?
You could straighten it. Don't use the hair straighter though. Use the blow dryer and a good brush. Or you could go to your hair dresser and take a picture with you so to give the hairdresser an idea of how you want it. Have fun btw. :)How can I make my curly hair look like Alice Cullens from Twilight?
Theres two ways:
1. straiten it fully then take ends of the hair and kind of make a curve with your straitener.
2. straten it fully then blow dry the ends with a curve.
Hope i helped

A good volumizer and straightener. haha Good luck! I love Alice I made some necklaces of her and the cast of Twilight on my selling site.
Some gel should do it.
well you could either straighten it or buy a good wig!! :)

How do i keep my curly hair straight?
I have naturally curly hair, which i'm fine about. But there are some days where i want a change and i want straight hair, and by straight, i mean dead straight. But no matter how much i straighten my hair, i can never get it to stay that way. For maybe 5-10 mins it will stay dead straight, and then it will go wavey and sometimes even curly again. What can i do to keep it dead straight? How do i keep my curly hair straight?

Is it better to straighten curly hair a day after washing or two days?
My hair is really curly and thick and I find its better to straighten two days after washing my hair because on the day after washing its really, really thick. I wash my hair with anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner 2-3 times a week. Please help! :)Is it better to straighten curly hair a day after washing or two days?
huh?? my natural hair is the exact same as yours thick and curly-_- but idk wat u mean i straighten my hair as soon as it dries??? is that wrong???Is it better to straighten curly hair a day after washing or two days?
It is better to straighten your hair 2 days after you have washed it...
Because your hair will be more oily and when it is oily you hair stays straighter and is much easier to straighten.
I hope this helps

How do you make naturally curly hair lay flat and make it not bulky or frizzy?
I have naturally curly hair from my dads side - an African
and think hair from my mother. I have tried everything- from chemically straightening to thinning ( im getting more off on the 3rd ) but nothing really seems to work. Is there an inexpensive way to make my hair gorgeous curls without it being pretty but too much of it aka: HUGE?!How do you make naturally curly hair lay flat and make it not bulky or frizzy?
when you straighten, curve the straightener down a little, not enough to make a huge curve, then just straighten the ends once you are done to remove the dent from the straightener. also, using a heat styling product in your hair will prevent damage from the over-use of heat. Try Matrix vavoom gold heat spray, it's absolutely amazing on hair and smells great.l I am in cosmetology school and we use this all the time and never have any frizz. you can find it at Sally's beauty or online. How do you make naturally curly hair lay flat and make it not bulky or frizzy?

i have the same problem. i have found that using a serum, like frizzease calms the frizz, and then i use tigi's 'curls rock' line, and i end up with tamer pretty curls, instead of just frizz and mess.
you should try frizzease serum. you know i asked a question similar to this maybe if someone answered you could look at the answers.

john frieda hair product
is a product to de frizz your hair

I have naturally curly hair. Here's what helped me achieve hair I love!
First, I got it cut to around shoulder length (maybe a bit longer?). Make sure that the hair dresser knows you want your hair to hit there when it's curly, not straight. Get a few layers to help cut down the 'big' and 'poof'.
As for products I TOTALLY reccomend anything John Freida. Here's my hair routine.
I get up a bit earlier and take a morning shower (which I can't really do without, hair wise!). I shampoo every other day, but condition every day. So for a day I shampoo, this is what I'd do.
I'm currently using this Brunette Shampoo by John Freida that's supposed to make my hair shinier, but I haven't noticed anything extra-ordinary, so I'll probably switch back to 'Curl Around Frizz-Ease by John Frieda' Shampoo when it runs out.
Then I squeeze 'excess water out of my hair' like the bottle says and apply 'Curl Around Frizz-Ease Conditioner'. I leave it on for a minute or two, and then rinse out.
My third step in the shower is to use the clear glaze stuff by John Frieda. You should be able to find most of the exact names for this stuff on John Freida's website. This is also supposed to make your hair shinier, and I love this one! It's better for me that the shampoo stuff I tried. I love it. I also squeeze out my hair before using this, and then apply and leave on for threee minutes. After that I rinse out my hair and get out of the shower.
Out of the shower, I towel dry my hair until it's damp, but not soaking wet. Then I put in some John Frieda Extra Strength Serum. This is also 'Frizz-Ease', I think. After that I part my hair.
Then I take the Frizz-Ease John Frieda Spray Gel. I spritz it pretty generously in my hair and then scrunch all about.
Then I let my hair air dry. I guess you could use a diffuser if you had too, but they do add frizz, I believe.
Well, that's my hair routine and I'm loving my curly hair! Good luck!

How can i keep my curly hair down naturally?
Ok, i have long curly hair, and since both of my parents have curly hair, my hair is super curly. I do my best to keep my hair healthy, but everyday, if i dont put this cream/gel thing on my hair, my curls will frizz and will rise, as if it were forming into an afro. Is there anything i can use/buy/put on my hair so i can control it from rising up, and keep it down, and wavy? How can i keep my curly hair down naturally?
Curly hair almost always requires products to enhance the curl and combat frizz.
First, figure out what your hair type is here http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types then you can decide which product is best for your curl type.

i have that same problem and all i have to do is put some lotion in my hair and it works great just don't put in to much

How can I get my frizzy, dry, thick and curly hair healthy and luscious with extra shine?
I have really frizzy, dry hiar. It seems even after I get a hair cut I have dead ends again. I also wish my hair could have some moisture and shine to it. Also, I straighten my hair daily and it doesnt look healthy at all. Is there anything that I can do to make my hair healthier? Not only look but feel too.How can I get my frizzy, dry, thick and curly hair healthy and luscious with extra shine?
First off, you should avoid store bought hair products because they contain A LOT of alcohol in them that dries out your hair. Second, use a thermal proctectant to prevent your hair from getting damaged. You should try the CHI shampoo and Infra Treatment, the 44 Iron Guard, and the Silk Infusion serum to help with frizz. Remember to keep up your regular trims, every 6-8 weeks, or 12 if you are growing your hair out.How can I get my frizzy, dry, thick and curly hair healthy and luscious with extra shine?
no dont thin it. use serum, its basically oil and will make your hair silky and shiny. when i come out the shower my hair is all nice and wavy but when it dries it goes frizzy so i use fructis garnier serum. dont straighten everyday.
thinnen your hair to make it thinner.
to make your hair healthier, stop straightening it till you feel a difference
I had the same problem i helped the hair by doing this:
When showering apply conditioner ALWAYS
Every week use a hair mask
Dont blow dry your hair try and get it away from heat when you can
Use a heat protector product to spray over your hair before you straighten it
And if its really bad:
Stop straightening it for a few months ..I know its hard but it will help
Go and get a conditioning treatment from the hairdressers..these can really help your hair !
Hope i helped!

What are good hair styling ideas / products for thick curly hair?
I am getting my hair cut probably tomorrow and I have thick wavy/curly frizzy hair (medium brown) and i am prob gonna cut it to my shoulders... any helpful ideas on how to cut it and are there any products out there that will help not make it so frizzy? What are good hair styling ideas / products for thick curly hair?
I would get it layered and use Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners with Tresseme mousse.
Also-
After you shampoo and condition rinse your hair with cool water that brings out shine and reduces frizz.
Let your hair air dry. Don't use a hairdryer or diffuser everyday. Its murder on your hair.

How did my curly hair go straight?
My hair has been very thick and curly my whole life, but i bought a new straighter in october and ever since then i've been straightening my hair a lot. Now i've been realizing that my hair is not naturally curly at all anymore. The only solution i've had to fixing this problem is to shave my whole head completely to get my natural hair back, but i don't want to go that extreme for my hair. Any tips, answers, or advice????????How did my curly hair go straight?
Your entire body's chemistry changes every seven years, including your hair type. Thick hair can become thin, curly can become straight.
I have had pin straight gold hair my entire life, until one summer ringlets, perfect curls came in! It was so odd....but now I love it.
This is what might have happened to you. Leave your hair alone for the next two months...let your damaged hair grow out and let new roots come in. If those are straight also, I'm betting it's just that your chemistry changed.
If it is now straight, consider getting a perm, or asking your hair dresser what's up.How did my curly hair go straight?
Don't shave your head as that won't make any difference to what is going on. I'm guessing your use of this product has been highly successful in straightening your hair but as it grows out it will be curly at the root. The curl will probably come back slowly if you were to discontinue the use of the product - sorry, I couldn't tell if it was a liquid straightener or a straightening iron, etc. One thing that could change the texture of your hair permanently would be chemotherapy but you don't mention having undergone this.
you should try using hair products and shampoos for naturally curly hair. it might help bring ur curls back and give u nice healthy hair! and try not to straighten it quite so often. try to let it be natural or maybe tie it up every other day so u dont cause more damage.
hmm. it could be due to the fact that you'v burnt your hair to the point of damage. you can try not straightening it as much and use a deep conditioner.
good luck

I'm guessing your use of this product has been highly successful in straightening your hair but as it grows out it will be curly at the root. The curl will probably come back slowly if you were to discontinue the use of the product - sorry, I couldn't tell if it was a liquid straightener or a straightening iron, etc. One thing that could change the texture of your hair permanently would be chemotherapy but you don't mention having undergone this.
you should try using hair products and shampoos for naturally curly hair. it might help bring ur curls back and give u nice healthy hair! and try not to straighten it quite so often. try to let it be natural or maybe tie it up every other day so u dont cause more damage.
hmm. it could be due to the fact that you'v burnt your hair to the point of damage. you can try not straightening it as much and use a deep conditioner.
good luck

If you keep curly hair in a bun over night, what will be the results the next morning?
I have dry curly hair and I really want straight hair or wavy hair. Will putting my hair in a bun work?If you keep curly hair in a bun over night, what will be the results the next morning?
no prob not. but if you go to walmart (depending on where u live) and get a hair relaxer (next to hair coloring stuff) that can make ur hair perfectly straight depending on how many times u do it. but dont use it more than 3 times or ur hair will fall out in clumps. not always but its possible.
hope this helps!!
good luck :)If you keep curly hair in a bun over night, what will be the results the next morning?
while damp, brush your hair straight and then pull your hair into a ponytail then wrap the hair counter clockwise around the base. secure with a few bobby pins. in the morning, when you take your hair out, it will be wavy. smoothing pomade works well to keep it from relapsing at that point. you can also rub john frieda's frizz ease in before twisting it when its damp, for frizz relief and extra shine. make sure you rinse your hair in cold water after washing and conditioning it for easy abundant shine.
Beautiful! Your hair will be wavy like Madonna's.

What is the best straightener for very long, thick, curly hair?
I need a GOOD new straightener. At the moment I have this crappy old Remmington straightener that makes my hair smell like sh*t.
What is the best straightener for very long, thick, curly hair?
The GHD flat iron is the BEST one on the market! Your hair gets soo straight so fast and shiny with no frizz!! Its very expensive (try about $ 225! YIKES!!) or the Chi flat iron is the next best one, still expensive at around $130, but either one would be a great investment and a HUGE step up from a remmington
Good luck!

How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?
My hair is really thick and also curly. It takes over an hour to straighten it and I prefer it straight to curly but it just takes up so much of my time. How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?
Here are some steps to straighten hair in a LOT less time:
1. After you get out of the shower, wring your hair out and towel dry it to get as much excess water out. Comb it (don't brush it, it damages hair) and put in a frizz serum ( I recommend No Frizz brand) and a straightening serum ( I recommend L'oreal professionel brand). The straightening serum works with the heat of the blow dryer to help straighten your hair.
2. Divide your hair in 3 sections (more like layers) Clip the top 2 up and blow dry the bottom using a paddle brush. To eliminate frizz, use the cool air button and aim the blow dryer down. Do the same thing for the other 2 sections.
3. Once your hair is completely dry, clip it up in 3 sections again. Starting with the bottom layer, put some heat protector on your hair and flat iron in sections. Repeat with the other 2 sections. How do I quickly but effectively straighten my thick, curly hair?
1.Brush out hair before taking a shower. Get all the knots out of that super-thick hair of yours, and don't look in the mirror.
2.Wash your hair with a smaller-than-normal amount of shampoo, maybe a tablespoon, and use it mainly on your scalp to cleanse and get rid of grease/residue. Use a more-than-normal amount of conditioner to hydrate your hair and protect it from heat. Work it through your hair, from the scalp to tips of strands. Rinse it out with cold water. This helps to smooth the follicles. Now get out of the shower before you freeze to death.
3.Gather your hair and gently wring out the excess water over the sink. Comb, never brush, your hair to get tangles out.
4.Take a round brush that has some hold, or grip to it, and start blow drying. Always use the medium (never high) heat setting, but the air flow setting can be turned up to high or whatever you like, if you have those options. Section off your hair (horizontally of course) and begin with the hair at the back of your neck and work up to the crown of your head. Part hair into five sections if it's really thick, although you may only need two sections. start with the hair on the bottom and work to the top, pulling the hair taut with the round brush and following it with the dryer. Do this until your hair is completely dry, or you may totally fry your hair with the flat iron.
5.Turn the heat on your flat-iron up to the second or third highest heat for thick hair, and the lower settings for thinner hair. While waiting for it to heat up, apply a heat protection spray or serum evenly on your hair.
6.Section your hair once again and work up to the crown of your head. Clamp the flat iron on a strand of hair and pull to the ends of hair. Curling the iron slightly inwards at the tips will give your hair a softer edge. You may need to go over a section of hair up to five times, but go slow and it will straighten better. If you have gone over five times and that strand is still curly or wavy, wait and move onto another strand. Give it a chance to cool off and then attempt again. You may want to apply a serum or cream after each section to smooth it down and hydrate it, but don't use too much or your hair will look greasy and weighed down.
7.Enjoy your shiny, straight hair. You may want to have someone help you with the back of your head, or take a mirror and check to see if the back is wavy or curly. After you're satisfied, brush or comb your hair and apply a teeny bit of serum or cream to the top layer, but again don't use too much or your hair will be greasy.
was your hair with shampoo only and spray on some heat protecting spray. the rub it with a towel and brush it out. blow dry it while brushing it as straight as possible. then put on some hair cream (try sunsilk straighten up creme) , but only a dime sized amount. then, using a professional straightener like CHI, solia or sedu, straighten at a temp around 390 F. after that rub some hair serum on and use a tiny tiny bit of hairspray to make it stay then brush it out again
my hair is curly 2 and i get soooo annoied that most people dry and straighten there hair in half an hour! we will never do this but blow drying your hair straight then straighten, smaller sections work best as if one big section goes curly the rest of your hair will change to fit the same shape..use high heat straightners, always keep your parting in the same side as you natural wave goes+never try fringes or side fringes as your natural lick will bounce back.. after you have finally finished it!!! spray a strong hold hairspray on you hands then quickly onto ur hair especially the thinner ends as they will flick...get your hair thinned by the hairdresser as often as you can :)
straighten your hair while its wet and then blow it dry. straighten it again. my friend told me this a few days ago.
but you should probably do it in the morning because if you sleep on it......it wont be as straight.

How can I keep my extremely curly hair from getting frizzy during the day?
A product called ';brilliance'; by Aveda. After it is dry, rub it in your palms and rub it over your hair, don't use too much. You can also buy a pump in a small bottle to use during the day if needed. It adds shine, too.How can I keep my extremely curly hair from getting frizzy during the day?
Use a texture softener. It doesn't completely relax the hair nor does is curl it like a texturizer, it takes your natural hair and keeps it manageable. ';Just 4 Me'; lasts for up to 12 weeksHow can I keep my extremely curly hair from getting frizzy during the day?
Keep a spray bottle with you with a little gel in it and re-wet your hair after it gets wind blown. ( or use wet hands) Don't separate the curls after your hair is dry. Ask other girls in your neighborhood what they use because the weather in your area makes a big difference.
You probably need to try a different type of shampoo and conditioner. You need one that will put alot of moisture back into your hair.
brush it only when it's wet. Once you apply products and styling gels etc. do not brush it or comb it or even pick it. Avoid running your fingers through it becuase that will fluff it out even more! Try this, once it is wet and when it looks right, try spraying it all over the top with spritz hairspray and then don't touch it. You can go all day like that. Avoid too much spray!
Good luck.
braid it?
