How can i control my damaged curly hair?

I have shoulder length dyed curly hair. After years of constant starightening my hair is completely damaged and is growing very slowly. Then when i go to the hair dressers when my hair is finally a little longer than usual they HAVE to cut loads of to get rid of all my split ends. I have no idea how to keep it in better condition apart from leaving it curly. However I HATEE MYY CURLS there frizzy and very uncontrolable help please :How can i control my damaged curly hair?
i have exactly the same problem and i'm fed up of hairdressers cutting my hair too short! i find the deep conditioning treatments you can get work quite well if apply them at least once a week and leave them on for around 30 mins. i find that when i give my hair time off from the straightners it does grow a little, but its hard to do this cos i hate my curls. so if you can leave it curly now and again, maybe when your not doing much in the day. Leave in conditioner also improve my hair slightly cos they make it feel and look softer. Also make sure you use a protective heat spray before straightening your hair. How can i control my damaged curly hair?
Try to make the most of your curls by buying a serum especially for curly hair, i think curly hair looks really pretty. Sunsilk have a range for curly hair the purple ones:)

Straightening hair a lot does do a lot of damage i know this from personal experience. You may not like your hair curly but think of the better condition your hair will be in.

use V05 hot oil once a week it isnt expensive and only needs to be put on wet hair for one minute.

Get it trimmed every 4 weeks and use cold water to rinse off conditioner. There are also tablets you can buy for healthier hair at a local health shop :)
Trim it yourself every couple wweeks. so you can cut your dead ends wtihout waiting months for the dresser to cut everything off. Also, deep condition it alot. Wear gel in your curls or hair spray. I'm sure it's not that terrible looking as you think. Since the weather is hot, where your hair in a bun and leavein conditioner. If yuo straighten your hair all the moisture is gone and stepping outside with the hot humid waether will f rizz it up.
STOP STRAIGHTENING IT! sheesh, that will defenitley ruin it, and when you have curly hair, your split ends shouldn't be that noticeable, you need to use Tresseme conditioner and Herbal esscences totally twisted shampoo, trust me, this will help, and then you need to use other products that will strengthen your hair. oh yeah, Samy products work well for frizz and damage.
well, you should try a straightener .. not only does it take out the curls .. but it also gets rid of poofy wild frizzy hair like me .. haha... %26amp; its not very good to keep on coloring it a lot .. try to limit that .. cuz then it does make it more frizzy and messy. or if you havent already tried this try 24/7 cream that u put it in the night it helped me a little and that combined in with the straightener in the morning should help a lot .. its helped for me %26amp; if your hair is still hard to manage than try not blowdrying it .. (thats super bad for hair) but only if you use it a lot)

but for your split ends , i no this sounds weird but you should (put mayonnaise in your hair for like .. about 15 min ) it should help.

p.s i hope that i helped you .. haha i no how that hair is i have the same problem but that seemed to help me !
they dont have too cut it..though they highly recommend it you can tell them no..i do it all the time. i am sure tis is silly to mention because you probablly have tried everything. but maybe just certain moistuirzer or some type of moose to keep it down. have you tried the product bed head ';after party'; it worksreally well and can make it less frizzy, because wild curls i actualy think are cute. good luck!!=)
Samething happend to me, but if you wunt to control you're curls use a product called perfect curls by loreal It's amazing, And Ohh if you wunt to keep your hair streight I recomend a Japanesse streightening it's like 500$ but it keeps your hair amazingly streight.
a great product you can use is aussie 3 minute miracle, it really helps!

you can also try leavr in conditioners

as far as styling products go ...

-garier fructis smoothing milk

-any brand of crunching gel

-garier fructis mouse for curls

-and then there is this frizz cream that is sold at bath and body works and i thing the brand is fricatti??

anyways hope this helps =]
well, dying it doesnt help. it gets all dried out.

get a trim more often. it doesnt have to be anything drastic like every 2 weeks. bur maybe once every 2 months or so? that way you cut some of the split ends off before they get too long.

you could try a deep conditioning treatment at your hair salon.
try this website! they are awsome! you can also find a salon in your area! http://www.naturallycurly.com/
