What chromosome is the gene for straight, wavy, and curly hair found on?

I need to know, for a science project due tomorrow, what chromosome the gene that determines whether you have curly/wavy hair, or straight hair can be found on. Can anyone link me to this information? I'm having trouble finding it.What chromosome is the gene for straight, wavy, and curly hair found on?
Weather or not hair is straight, curly or wavy depends on both the structure of the keratin and the structure of the hair follicle.

There are many genes involved in this process, so identifying a single gene responsible for ';hair type'; is not possible. For example, the Waved-1 (wa1) gene appears on chromosome 6, whilst Waved-2 (wa2) appears on chromosome 11. Keratin structure is encoded by genes on chromosome 15, and genes Krt and mK6 are implicated here (according to genetics.org)

I'm sure there are others, and Pubmed or Scidev might be good places to check. But there's no simple answer here, I'm afraid.

Just been looking on Pubmed, and work by Kuramoto T et al implicates genes on chromosome 17 with sparse and wavy hair.
