Will my curly hair get looser if I use straightening products?

My hair is really thick but not kinky and I have a lot of it at first its pretty straight to wavy then its curly with large waves to large ringlets Its also kinda frizzy. If I add a straightening spray on my hair will it make my curls looser to maybe wavy.What if I add a straightening shampoo and conditioner? Will this help?

Hey there. Okay so your hair sounds pretty much exactly like mine. By using those products in your hair they may tend to pull out the curls a little but if your going for straight hair the products won't acheive that look themselves. You will need to use a blow dryer and/or a straightener. If the look you are going for is wavy softer curls then you want to get a product made for waves. I believe Loreal makes a spray gel for wavy hair, I have used it before (just can't remember the brand for sure) and it worked very well. There is also a cream that I use called Noodle Head that I get at a beauty salon supply store that I LOVE!! Try out some different creams/gels that say are for wavy curls or soft curls. I always use a frizz eliminator or shine enhancer with these products too. Tho I usually use straigtening shampoo and conditioner I don't think it really makes that much of a difference just depends how you style it. I use it when I make my hair straight or when I wear it curly/wavy. Good luck...I hope you get the look your wanting!Will my curly hair get looser if I use straightening products?
I would suggest using de-frizz serum and smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Try not to use too much mousse or hairspray, and if you still feel that your hair is frizzy and not very loose then go to your hairstylist and ask for their advice on which products you should use.

I have curly hair, and I use a hair straightener, not that spray stuff, it doesn't work at all! So, that's what I'd do for your hair.

you could try using a flat iron and then a large barrel curling iron to get loose waves
