Can someone with naturally curly hair still get dreadlocks?

I straighten my hair everyday, however I'm really interested in dreads. Can someone with naturally curly hair still get dreadlocks?
wooo hooo.....love dreads.....curly hair actually dreads better, the tighter the curl the better.....go to knotty boy dread wax's website and you'll get great info there. dreads can be difficult to maintain, but after a while it becomes habit....good luckCan someone with naturally curly hair still get dreadlocks?
curly hair will lock faster, but it will struggle a little more because normally curly hair straightens when wet. I'm growning locs now, and it's rough
It doesnt matter what texture hair you have, if you dont brush your hair, it will become matted and eventually become locks. However, curly hair is easier to achieve locks than straight hair.
