How to make my super curly hair looser?

It's not that I don't like my hair curly, it's just that I want a change from time to time.





It's quite long (past my shoulders).





I don't want to use any heat as it's starting to damage my hair.





I have tried putting a bun on the top of my head and it does get my hair looser but barely.

Try really brushing your hair out, maybe make it a bit wet while you brush and keep brushing till its dry...that might work.
