It always takes SOOOO long to straighten my curly hair! How can I make it take less time?

I have a looooot of hair, so I always wear my hair in a bun and feel awful. But when it's straight, it looks great and I feel great! But I only straighten my hair once in a while because of how long it takes. How can I make it take less time?

My daughter has thick, curly hair also. First of all, let me say that I've read some of the other answers %26amp; I have to disagree with some of them. Be very careful with layering curly hair or it will just stand out from the head like a really long afro (unless, of course, that's a look you're ok with).

My daughter uses her Chi %26amp; some of the straightening serum products to protect it from drying out. She sections it %26amp; flat irons it. However, blow drying with a large round brush first seems to make the process quicker.

If you want it straight all the time %26amp; don't mind the upkeep you can get it straightened chemically at the salon. Careful not to overprocess or burn your hair.

I'm not sure of your ethnicity %26amp; hair texture so it's hard to answer for sure, but you might check out the beauty supplies made especially for African American women. It always takes SOOOO long to straighten my curly hair! How can I make it take less time?
I have amazingly thick, curly hair that takes at least an hour and a half at a time to straighten. Really, there is nothing you can do about it besides chemically straighten it (which is permanent) but I've learned to just live with my hair the way it is, and I'm actually starting to like it better curly than straight.
Use these products along with a flat iron and your time will be shortened by a lot!

Get your hair thinned out, NOT cut, but thinned. The hairdresser will know what you mean. Also, hmmm....get a thick, ceramic, quick heating straightner. Try those tips. If it doesn't work out, try *gulp* getting it cut. Or buy smoothing creme (:
cut, and or thin your hair
