Is there any way to straighten out afro curly hair?

I have very curly hair at present, and it will grow very thick if it is left too long. Is there any way I can straighten it out in the least expensive method? Is there any way to straighten out afro curly hair?
You can always have someone to flat iron your hair, or press it out, so that it can be straight. If you do end up getting your hair flat ironed or pressed out, then you should put in a body wrap. The body wrap should help keep it straight for a while. If that does'nt work maybe you can find somebody you know who can relax your hair for a reasonable price in your price range. If you don't wanna do that then, the best thing to do is, to find someone to braid your hair into braids. Is there any way to straighten out afro curly hair?
