Best way to get curly hair with curlers?

I have medium length THICK hair, I want to make my hair have loose curls for a party I am going to. What is the best way to do this?Best way to get curly hair with curlers?
You need to start with fresh clean hair. You will also need a product designed for damp hair and meant to offer hold/shape. In fact there are products designed SPECIFICALLY for curly do's...find and purchase one of them. Use it as advised (on DAMP hair, because if you put it on to wet hair it dilutes the product and makes it less useful. Then starting at the back, then sides and moving up, section hair into 1-11/2 inch sections and roll them into hair-I like to roll mine vertically because it will result in a more ringlet shape that you can thin ';finger comb'; through to get to desired curl pattern...Anyway after entire head is rolled you can let it air dry but it will take FOREVER or blow dry on a low setting (I advise using a diffuser also). After head is totally dry take out rollers and USING HAND pull through curls until you create desired amount and pattern of curl. Then you will want to spritz with a setting spray that will not make curls stiff or sticky. If your hair is one length when curls are first released you may not like what it looks like (as layers will automatically lead to more of a style) but play around with them and you can work them into a shape you like. If this is the first time I advise TRYING it before party day so you don't get frustrated or upset.Best way to get curly hair with curlers?
Use hot rollers. Let them heat thoroughly before putting them in. Spray each portion of hair lightly with hairspray before wrapping it around the roller. Then leave the rollers in until they are completely cool. Give your hair time to relax after you take them out. It may look too curly at first, but that will tame down. Good luck!
I'd say hot curlers are the way to go. Use some type of a ';setting spray';. I always used the one by Biolage. Have a friend help you roll all that hair you have, it will help you out time and frustration wise. Unwrap your hair and let the curls cool and then spray with a hair spray. The weight of your hair loosens the curl. Good luck!
Wet Set your hair with Lotta Body Setting Lotion and roll half way up. Do not remove rollers until completely dry.
After you wash your hair, you should then lightly towel dry it

You then should comb firm setting lotion through your hair before setting your entire head on medium sized salon type plastic mesh or magnetic rollers about 1'; - 1 1/2'; diameter,

You should then let your hair ';Air dry'; can take a few hours depending on length of your hair, try to avoid using curling irons, heated rollers and hooded dryers as they all can cause heat damage,

after your hair is dry remove rollers and use your fingers to set your curls into place.

use organic based shampoos and conditioners for your hair as they will stop chemical build up
