How to get my curly hair to have the wet look without being wet.?

Once my hair dries it gets bigger and dry, but when it is wet it looks nice. HELP!!!! Gel dries my hair out more and other products i have tried do not seem to work.How to get my curly hair to have the wet look without being wet.?
