How can i relax my ten year old daughter's unruly curly hair without damaging?

Bring her to the salon (as long as she agrees of course) and have them either layer or thin her hair. Either method with eliminate most of the knotting and snarls. How can i relax my ten year old daughter's unruly curly hair without damaging?
Do not use any products meant to alter hair texture/wave on a 10 year old. Your daughter should be at least 12 (or until she gets her period) because the hair changes at puberty. How can i relax my ten year old daughter's unruly curly hair without damaging?
just put a bit of gel only for curly hair and thiers shampoos and conditioners suited to that type of hair, maybe your using the wrong products and dont brush it when its dry only when its wet and let it dry naturally
If your daughter has curly hair ranging from types 3b to 4a(http://www.naturallycurly.com/curl411/ty/a> then I would suggest that you have her go to an African American hair salon that specializes in curly hair such as http://www.missjessies.com/ or http://www.ouidad.com/ ... if you don't have access to any of these salons you can go to a regular salon and have a silkener. a silkener is a type of chemical process that loosens the curls , makes them softer, and makes them more manageable... look at the photos through this link http://www.missjessies.com/beforeafter2./a> . I really don't think you should perm her hair because when she gets older she's going to want to have her curls back... alot of women with curly hair who permed their hair when they were younger regret doing so and transition at an older stage in their lives...I myself have curly hair and I love it.. it makes me standout of the boring crowds of girls who wear their hair straight....good luck.
They have kits (target, walmart) out there but if it is your first time I would go to a salon and do it. If you can't afford the salon and get the kit make sure to follow directions to a tee. When you are done make sure to moisturize the hair. More info go to the link and click on the relaxed section. http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/
Do not relax her hair. I think she is too young and you might damage it. There is a lot of maintence after you applied the relaxer.

Just get a bottle of moisturizing lotion and a good wide tooth comb and gently comb small sections at a time. This will do it.
go to missjessies.com they have wonderful techniques and products.
she probably brushing it with a brush.

she should be using a comb and only brushing before it dries, to eliminate friz.
The best thing to do for it right now is just let it go. She's too young to put any chemicals in it, her hair hasn't ';matured.'; And if a stylist puts layers or thins it out then that will make it worse. Have her grow it out, weight is her friend right now. The weight of the hair on top will push down the hair underneath. You just need to be patient.
Bed head..In the pink bottle
It really depends on the hair texture. Buy a perm and comb it through. I would leave it in only long enough to get it combed through then rinse it out. The damage comes from inexperienced people not realizing how important the neutralizing step is. Read the instructions follow them to a tee. Rinse every step for a full 5 minutes. Good Luck

I have been doing my daughters hair since she was 5, oh and someone just enjoys giving thumbs down the comment below about using the comb is absolutely correct. You cannot brush curly hair it must be picked or combed out with a wide tooth comb.

My tecnique is great for hispanic hair. you just leave it in long enough to pull a small amount of the curl out. You really would be better off taking her to a salon, but this would work if you have patience. Just a precisely right home perm with out rods. The instructions will say to use rods, but just comb it through.
